Paris Street Photography Workshops
Workshop fee: €1,900
A €500 deposit reserves your place. The remaining balance is due prior to the workshop.
These workshops aren’t about checking off landmarks or mastering technique.
They’re about learning how to see — and noticing what draws your attention when no one is telling you where to look.
What holds your attention is rarely accidental. The moments you wait for, the details you notice, the things you ignore — all of it shows up in the photographs you make. Over time, the work becomes a kind of mirror.
We’ll walk Paris slowly, paying attention to light, gesture, timing, and human presence.
Some of the learning happens together, through conversation and image review. Some of it happens quietly, on your own, in the street.
This workshop is for photographers who want more than stronger images.
It’s for those who want a deeper relationship with their work — and with themselves.
Below you’ll find upcoming Paris workshops, organized by season. Each group is small. Each experience is shaped by the people who show up.
Workshops by Season
Each workshop shares the same core approach, shaped by the rhythm of the season.
Spring — Seeing Again
Spring in Paris brings people back into public space. They move more slowly, stay longer, and interact more openly — creating moments that reward patience and attention rather than speed.
This workshop focuses on learning to see again without force. We focus on presence, curiosity, and attention rather than chasing images. You’ll learn to trust what draws your eye, to wait more than you rush, and to notice what reveals itself when you stop trying to make something happen.
It’s an ideal starting point if you feel stuck, out of practice, or overly critical of your work. The emphasis is on re-establishing a relationship with photography that feels natural, intuitive, and grounded.
Best for: photographers looking to reset, reconnect, or begin a deeper, more personal way of working.
Summer — Immersion
Summer in Paris is crowded, layered, and energetic. Streets are fuller, interactions overlap, and moments happen quickly — often all at once. The city demands attention and rewards engagement.
This workshop is about learning to work inside complexity rather than avoiding it.
We focus on rhythm, timing, and staying open when things feel busy or unpredictable. You’ll practice trusting your instincts, committing to moments, and finding coherence amid visual noise.
It’s well suited to photographers who are comfortable shooting but want more confidence and depth in dynamic environments. The emphasis is on flow — learning when to step in, when to hold back, and how to stay present without becoming overwhelmed.
Best for: photographers who want momentum, energy, and a deeper ability to work confidently in fast-moving situations.
Fall — Meaning
Fall in Paris brings a slower pace and a more introspective rhythm. Light softens, streets thin, and the city feels less performative and more revealing.
This workshop emphasizes intention and understanding rather than accumulation.
It’s well suited to photographers who want to look more closely at their patterns, choices, and instincts — the kinds of moments they return to and the decisions they make without thinking. Over time, this leads to work that feels clearer, more consistent, and more recognizably personal.
Best for: photographers interested in deepening intention and understanding what their work expresses over time.
Winter — Quiet
Winter in Paris strips the city back. Fewer people linger, movement becomes more purposeful, and moments are less frequent but more contained.
The environment asks for patience and attention rather than constant engagement.
This workshop emphasizes restraint and presence. With fewer obvious moments competing for attention, the focus shifts to noticing subtle gestures, small interactions, and what remains when spectacle falls away. The process stays the same — walking, observing, shooting, and discussing — but the pace invites a more deliberate way of working.
It’s well suited to photographers who are comfortable with solitude and interested in quieter images that rely on mood, timing, and nuance rather than energy or volume.
Best for: photographers drawn to subtlety, minimalism, and photographing what’s easily missed.
See Paris. See Yourself.
A Five-Day Immersive Workshop with Keith Pitts
“When the world asks, ‘what was it like?’ Only the photographer can say, ‘See!’” — Mark Denman"
Paris is a city that has inspired generations of photographers—not just for its beauty, but for its endless stories.
The real magic of street photography isn’t just in the images you make, but in the way you learn to see...
Street photography is improvisation. It’s visual anthropology. It’s a practice in curiosity, presence, and self-discovery.
“This was my first workshop and I have to say my favorite aspect was hanging out with such great creative people, geeking out on our shared love of photography. Again the review and critique time was very helpful to see how my fellow classmates were looking at many of the same places, people and moments and capturing the various elements in different ways to create such different visual images. I really enjoyed the workshop and would highly recommend it to others”.
Chris, Workshop Attendee
What to Expect
Over five days, we’ll spend time wandering Paris together — not as tourists, but as explorers…
You’ll learn to trust your instincts, to notice what others miss, and to create photographs that are honest reflections of your experience.
Who Is This For?
This workshop is for anyone who senses there’s more to photography—and to travel—than just ticking off sights or chasing perfect images...
Whether this is a long-awaited treat or a spontaneous adventure, you belong here. The street is for everyone willing to look.
The Main Goal
The main goal of this Paris workshop is to immerse you in the city’s rhythm and help you create photographs that are as honest and alive as the streets themselves.
It’s about learning to see Paris—not just as a backdrop, but as a living, breathing story—and to capture the fleeting moments that reveal both the city’s soul and your own.
Street photography, at its best, is a practice in curiosity, presence, and self-discovery—and Paris is the perfect place to begin.
You’ll sharpen your eye, deepen your curiosity, and discover new ways of connecting—with strangers, with fellow photographers, and with yourself.
By the end, you’ll leave with a portfolio of images that feel personal and true, and a way of seeing that will stay with you long after you’ve left Paris behind.

A final group slideshow
from Taunia…workshop attendee: “I loved the convivial atmosphere, the informal feel, that it encouraged exploration; seeing others in action on the street and seeing each other's chosen pics for the day was eye opening; appreciated the tips on software, camera settings, etc; the highlight for me was the group discussion and critique of photo selections, which did not feel rushed but carefully considered (a huge plus); the slideshow takeaway is a very nice feel-good moment for the final evening”.
